Kyle Svec became the City Administrator in 2009 after spending five years leading the City of Geneva's Activities and Education Department.  Svec graduated from Wayne State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism with a Minor in Interdisciplinary Studies, which included coursework in marketing and coaching.  Svec spent 14 years at the Hastings Tribune, nine as an editor, before jumping at the opportunity to move closer to his hometown of Milligan and join the City of Geneva.  His municipal background includes work in maintenance practices and he holds a Grade 4 Water Operators license and a Class 2 Waste Water Operators license as well as having a diversified agricultural background.  

Svec has been a licensed Emergency Medical Technician for more than 25 years and has served on many local boards and committees.  He is married and has two sons.
