American Red Cross Classes

The Geneva Parks and Recreation Department is an authorized provider of the American Red Cross. We currently have five instructors who teach both community and professional classes.  Learn how to provide immediate care until professional help arrives.  Professional classes are for those who are employed or volunteer in the health care system (nurses, lifeguards, firemen, EMTs, etc.). Community classes are for those who want to be confident in providing proper help.  We teach many CPR classes to daycare centers, schools, fire and rescue departments, and manufacturing plants. The American Red Cross' classes meet OSHA guidelines.

Geneva Parks and Recreation also offers American Red Cross lifeguard training classes and swimming lessons.

Geneva Parks and Recreation Department is fortunate to have instructors who are available to instruct classes both during the work day and in the evenings. We hold classes at one of our facilities but we can also come to your workplace if you prefer.  Class prices typically run from $50.00-$60.00/student and certification is good for two years.

If you are ever interested in becoming a certified American Red Cross instructor, please contact Matt at the Geneva Parks and Recreation office (402) 759-4908.
