Rules & Regulations
Rules for use:
- No one shall be permitted use without having first used the toilet and having taken a warm water shower, using soap. State Regulation.
- No one shall be permitted use having an obvious communicable disease, skin eruption, cut sore or lesion, or eye, ear, nose or throat infection. State Regulation.
- No spitting or spouting of water, blowing the nose or any similar activity. State Regulation.
- No running, running dives, wrestling, towel fighting, shoving, dunking excessive splashing, slip off the side, boisterous or rough horse play, or any similar activities. State Regulation.
- No swearing, profanity.
- Swimmers eight years old or younger must be accompanied by an adult who is observing them at all times.
- No diving in the shallow end of the pool.
- No inflatable objects allowed in the deep area or on or around the diving boards or slide area. This also applies to throwing objects, like nerf balls, beach balls, etc.
- No cut-offs are allowed. State Regulation.
- All non-swimmers must remain in the shallow end of the pool.
- When using the diving board(s), you must always go straight off the board. Never jump off or dive off the sides of the board.
- When using the diving board(s), you must make sure the person who went off ahead of you is out of the way to assure you don’t dive onto them.
- Only one person on the diving board(s) or slide at a time.
- Only two (2) bounces on the diving board(s) prior to diving.
- No hand stands or cartwheels off the diving board(s).
- No hanging from the diving board(s).
- No standing or sitting on the rope.
- Do not remove or tamper with any life saving equipment.
- Visiting with the on duty lifeguard is prohibited.
- No one with street clothes is allowed in the pool area.
- Management is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.
- Parks & Recreation Director or City Administrator has the authority to close the pool for extreme weather conditions (Examples:lighting, thunder or tornado) or outside temperature is below 70 degrees.
- Please read these rules carefully. They will be strictly enforced as they are designed for everyone’s safety.
