The City Attorney is the municipality's legal adviser, who is appointed by the Mayor on a yearly basis.
City Attorney's duties include, but not limited to:
- Attend Council meetings
- Advise any municipal official in all matters of the law in which the interests of the municipality may be involved
- Draft ordinances, bonds, contracts, and other writings that may be required by the administration
- Prepare complaints, attend, and prosecute violations of the municipal ordinances when directed by the City Council
