1. Can I request public records from the City of Geneva?

Public records, City Council resolutions and ordinances, and other information can be requested by submitting the Records and Information Request Form to the City Clerk's Office.

2. How do I apply for a special designated liquor license?

Begin by going to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission's website at www.lcc.ne.gov and filling out an application for special designated license. Send your license application to cityclerk@cityofgeneva.org or drop it off at City Hall. It will be completed and returned to you.

1. When is the Tree Dump Open?

The City of Geneva Tree Dump and Recycling Center is located at 1214 Road N, Geneva, NE, on the south side of town, just west of the Geneva Gun Club's trapshooting range.

The hours change according to daylight savings time.

The Tree Dump's FALL hours (November 6, 2023 to March 10, 2024) are:
 Sun Closed
 Mon 1:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
 Tue Closed
 Wed 1:30 p.m. - 5::30 p.m.
 Thu Closed
 Fri 1:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
 Sat 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

The Tree Dump's SPRING hours (March 11, 2024 to November 3, 2024) are:

2. Where do you take leaves?

Leaves, grass clippings, and garden waste should be taken to the Grass Dump, located at 1509 Road L, Geneva, NE (2.5 miles east of 13th & R Streets).  For more information, click here.

4. Who do I call to reserve the Log Cabin?

The Geneva Log Cabin is a rental facility shared between the City of Geneva and the GFWC Geneva Women's Club.  Geneva Public Library manages reservations for this particular facility, which can be made online by following the link below or by speaking with any library staff at 402-759-3416.

The Geneva Log Cabin, located at 1402 E Street in Geneva, offers several tables and folding chairs, a kitchen area with serving window, and restroom.  A $50 refundable deposit and a $50 use fee, payable to GFWC Geneva Women's Club, applies to renting this facility.

2. How do I enroll my child in a program?

Fill out the appropriate registration form for the program you want to enroll in and mail the form and payment to Geneva Parks and Recreation at PO Box 409, Geneva NE 68361. Make sure to email or call Matt with questions concerning the enrollment or program.

You need to get a dismantle permit by going to this link

4. Do I need a permit to move in a building?

Yes. You need to fill out a move in permit. You are also required to put a deposit down, details on the permit. Here is a the link. you will also need to fill out a building permit to go along with the first permit. Here is the link for the building permit.

5. How do I get a Zoning Exception or a Zoning Variance?

You will need to fill out an Exception or Variance form and pay a fee. The Planning Commission will need to meet and if they say it is okay then you need to come to a council meeting. click here for the form.

6. What do I need to do for a lot split?

For a Lot Split you need to first fill out a lot split form; with the form it asks for a legal survey to be done on the property in question. After you get the legal survey and the Form filled out please bring it into the city office. Here is a link to get the lot split form.

You do need to get a fence permit. you can get a fence permit by clicking this link.
